On-Site Shoulder Injury Services
Because we understand your time is valuable, we offer the following services in our office, to save you time and hassle of having to go elsewhere.
We use noninvasive ultrasound technology to provide real-time guidance as we provide in-office injectable medications and other treatments for a variety of shoulder conditions, including shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, and more. This allows precise therapeutic administration for added treatment effectiveness.
Every person’s body is unique. To best match the specific shape, dimensions, and position of your shoulder joint, Dr. Jacobsen uses state-of-the-art, computerized 3D planning technology. This is used to facilitate precise placement of implants for patients undergoing shoulder replacement surgery. When a prosthetic replacement joint is placed accurately it gives the most natural fit and function after surgery. When standard components will not match the anatomy adequately, special augmented components and 3D printed bone preparation guides can be utilized. Finally, when there is such severe deformity in the shoulder, custom-made 3D printed implants can be manufactured to exactly match the contour of the shoulder.
Proper treatment always begins with an accurate diagnosis. To confirm or rule out a potential diagnosis, Dr. Jacobsen may recommend you receive on-site imaging – such as X-rays or ultrasound – to better examine the appearance, extent, or cause of your shoulder injury.
